Wrote, trained and assisted in compliance with the HASP’s for three projects, including the Oxygenation Addition, Chlorination Addition, and Grit Building. These projects involved extensive earthwork in contaminated soils, Permitted Confined Space entries, and employee’s contact with sludges and waters in flows.
Demolition of the Tetra Ethyl Lead (TEL) Additive Building
Managed the health and safety for the contractor, and Sun Refinery personal during the dismantling of the TEL additive building and associated tanks and piping. The project involved cold cutting piping containing gasoline and TEL. The operation was done during the summer with the employees wearing EPA level B protection.
Norfolk Naval Station
Designed and implemented the replacement of steel windows of the carrier support warehouses. Our services included program submission, compliance monitoring, and management of hazardous and recycled waste streams.
Harley-Davidson Motor Company
From 2009 to 2015, Key Environmental & Safety, Inc. was in a 4-person Industrial Hygiene team that evaluated noise exposure for 75 job classifications, responded to 25 engineering requests, 30 employee concerns, and sampled 25 matrix items yearly.
McGuire Air Force Base
Designed, managed, and sampled the removal of doors and windows of 300 enlisted housing occupied apartments.
Qualitative and Quantitative Assessment of 250 chemicals
with health rating of 3 or greater
Evaluated chemical use in cosmetics manufacturing buildings, including research, interviews, and sampling of potentially exposed job classifications and processes. Conducted employee assessments.
